Ann Jäderlund nació en 1955 y vive en Estocolmo. Desde su debut en 1985, Vimpelstaden, ha escrito más de una docena de libros de poesía, así como libros infantiles y obras de teatro. Siempre ha mantenido su propia línea poética, en la que busca nuevos significados y niveles en las palabras del lenguaje cotidiano. El ritmo es importante en sus poemas, ya que se detiene en algunas palabras y las acentúa. Su poesía ha tratado temas como la adicción, el poder y la impotencia del cuerpo y la oscuridad del estado del mundo. Ann Jäderlund es sin duda una de las poetas más queridas, leídas e influyentes de la poesía sueca.
Ann Jäderlund was born in 1955 and lives in Stockholm. Since her debut in 1985, Vimpelstaden, she has written more than a dozen books of poetry as well as children’s books and plays. She has consistently kept to her own line of poetry where she searches for new meanings and levels in the words of everyday language. The rhythm is important in her poems as she lingers around some of the words, emphasizing them with an added stress. Her poetry has dealt with topics such as addiction, the power and the powerlessness of the body and the darkness of the state of the world. Ann Jäderlund is without question one of the most loved, read and influential poets of Swedish poetry.
